From the Desk of Mr. Miller:

Rock the Net comes out on the 29th, and I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been supportive of this release.  The Future of Music Coalition, Thirsty Ear and I have all received a lot of emails with links to various blogs and articles helping to promote the album, and I’ve never been a part of something with this much buzz behind it.  FMC really has their hands full with the task of making this thing called net neutrality easy to  explain and, ultimately, defend.

Speaking of which: Beaumont, TX is currently playing guinea pig in Comcast’s bandwidth price-tier trial.   Internet users who exceed their allotted bandwidth in a given billing period will be charged overages and penalties.  Take notice because this is how it starts.  The next thing you know, content providers will be squeezed out by unnecessary bandwidth pricing too.  I’m really not an “activist” by any stretch of the imagination, but I would urge everyone to visit FMC’s Rock the Net site and sign their petition.  While you’re there, you can hear the entire album before it hits stores.  Thanks for listening,”
